We want to dare more chaos
We want to accept the restrictions that are necessary and unavoidable today from an ecological point of view and strive for a life within the limits of life. We urgently need to change.

We must try to fundamentally transform our economy and our educational institutions. We must not modernize them in the conventional sense, but rather renew them from the ground up in a truly radical sense. If we do indeed abandon the growth paradigm, the global trading system, which is geared towards growth, will collapse within a very short time and our supply chains will no longer meet people’s basic needs such as food, healthcare and heating their homes. However, we cannot simply carry on as before and so the old question of change by design or by disaster remains. We need to organize the transition to a new era now. But how should we feed people in times of collapse, how can we provide for them? We can’t just let them starve or freeze to death, we have to make provisions for this time of transition.

If we think very simply about how we could prepare for such a situation, I think we could try to draw up national and regional emergency plans and, in addition to these, develop an international aid plan that the UN could prepare and for which relief supplies could already be saved and stockpiled today. Such a radical new start would be bumpy in any case, but conceivable. I believe we are in the right time for such changes; this could well be an interesting and beautiful time of deep transformation. Let’s dare more chaos!
